Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ear / Candling Waxing.

Our combined Ear / Candling Waxing service is safe for most clients when performed by trained professionals. We screen for contraindications and will not treat active infections, perforated eardrums, or recent ear surgery. Always disclose medical history before treatment.

A typical session lasts about 25–40 minutes depending on hair amount and candling needs. Waxing takes a few minutes per ear, while ear candling and consultation add additional time for careful, relaxing treatment.

Waxing can cause brief stinging or tugging sensations; most clients tolerate it well. Ear candling is typically gentle and soothing, though you may notice warmth or light pressure. We adjust technique and stop immediately if you experience significant pain.

You should avoid Ear / Candling Waxing if you have an ear infection, perforated eardrum, ear tubes, recent ear surgery, or severe skin conditions. Inform us of medications, allergies, or respiratory issues so we can determine suitability.

For hair control, schedule waxing every four to six weeks depending on growth. Ear candling can be done less frequently—typically as needed or monthly for buildup. We’ll recommend a plan based on your results and comfort.

Arrive with clean, dry ears and avoid applying oils or drops the day of service. Avoid blood-thinning medications and alcohol beforehand if possible, and tell your technician about medical history, allergies, or recent ear issues.
